To apply to the Early Career Committee (ECC), you must provide a CV, a cover letter, and a reference letter from a mentor or peer. The cover letter should outline your interest in joining the committee, the qualities that make you an outstanding candidate, and your willingness to commit to attendance at one AHA conference (Vascular Discovery or Scientific Sessions) each year at minimum, and ~3 hours/month (average) to ECC activities. If you are a postdoctoral fellow, your mentor’s letter should state their support (financial and otherwise) for the time and travel commitments. Applications are due each year by the last day of February. New members will be notified in May for appointment on July 1. The ECC strives for geographical, gender, and ethnic diversity and encourages candidates of all backgrounds and experiences to apply.
