How do I access Science Central features?

To access all features in Science Central, log in using your Professional Heart Daily account. If you don’t have an account, click “Login” and then select “Create an Account.” Complete the form to set up your access. Once your account is created, set up your “My Science Central” page to personalize your experience. Logged-in access provides a deeper dive into content and allows you to save relevant content to review later.

To access limited features in Science Central without logging in, select "Science Central" from the Professional Heart Daily homepage, then select a topic of interest from the dropdown menu. Each topic includes relevant videos, podcasts, journal articles, guidelines, and more. You can save content only if you are logged in.

 How do I find content relevant to me?

You can explore content in four ways:

  • My Science Central: Set up your personalized content page by selecting "My Science Central" and then specify your content preferences. This delivers content tailored to your interests on your My Science Central page as new content is added. You can make updates to your preferences at any time.
  • Menu Navigation: Select "Science Central" in the website’s main navigation menu, then select a topic of interest from the dropdown. Each page includes relevant videos, podcasts, journal articles, guidelines and more. A secondary navigation may appear to help narrow your focus.
  • Search: Use the "Search Science Central" bar located near the page title to find specific items. Refine your results using filters that match your criteria.
  • Custom curated emails (members only): Opt in to have curated content specific to your interests delivered to your inbox at a frequency that works best for you.
 What is My Science Central, and how do I set it up?

My Science Central is your personalized page for curated content.

Log in with your Professional Heart Daily account. If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to do so. Complete a quick one-time setup for My Science Central by selecting your preferences and submitting the form. Your page will automatically update with the latest science content, based on your preferences.

To make changes, click "Edit My Preferences" in the dropdown next to the "Search Science Central" bar. After updating your selections, click "Submit." A green confirmation bar will appear with a link back to your personalized My Science Central page.

 How do I save and view videos or podcasts later?

You can watch short videos on any Science Central category page. To save a video, click the heart icon labeled "Save Video" in the top left corner of the video player. If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to log in first.

Saved videos are stored in your "My Saved Videos" page, which you can access from the "My Settings" dropdown next to the "Search Science Central" bar or from the top right of the black video/podcast bar. To remove a saved video, delete it directly from your "My Saved Videos" page.
